WNTD TXTM8. TEXT: zero-nine-one-seven-teen-na-ako
Social Information Processing Theory

is a communication theory which uses the gained information as a basis to form interpersonal impressions, which could lead to forming relationships.

The SIP way of getting information is not through verbal ways, but it's through computer-mediated communication (CMC). Examples of CMCs are text messages, electronic mails (e-mails) and instant messages. In CMC, we have verbal cues, which a user creates in order to create impressions to make the receiver believe. There's also the extended time, which simply means the time it takes for the sender and the receiver to exchange messages.

Engaging in relationships using CMC could be quite interesting but it could also be dangerous. Since we don't really have any idea on what the person who we're talking to looks like or who this person really is, we could expose ourselves unconsciously to strangers.

Moving on, there's also this hyperpersonal perspective which is the relationships made through CMC are more intimate than those of the face-to-face method. The sender could create an imaginary identity to fool the receiver, and the receiver could either believe the sender or counter the attack and also create an imaginary person. Here's a drawing to illustrate how CMC works. :)
